Are you stuck living reactively, or like you can't quite catch up? You want more ease, clarity, and a stronger sense of self. Whether you’re in early adulthood, adjusting to parenting, or midlife, life transitions can activate self-doubt or feelings of disconnection. Life is hard, and our society offers little structural support. Let's get curious about the "why" of the past and learn new communication patterns and relationship dynamics to cultivate a life you love, centered on joy.
I am particularly interested in supporting women, single/step/co-parents, queer/trans/nb/gender-expansive individuals, small business owners, and high-performers —individuals and communities who often carry a lot and may struggle to find space for themselves.
Hello!
My name is Jamie (she/her). Before becoming a counselor, I spent over 23 years in the coffee industry, building community and cultivating safe, positive environments. My life experience informs how I show up in the therapy room, with the ability to connect with others and put them at ease. I bring a grounded, relational approach to counseling, rooted in deep empathy, presence, and curiosity. I believe in each person’s ability to change their story and can help you explore your relationship with yourself and others.
My style is calm, affirming, and direct. I am skilled at reading the room, offering encouragement and care, but won't shy away from gently challenging you when it serves your growth. I approach therapy as a collaborative process and utilize a social-justice and trauma-informed perspective. My work draws from:
Attachment Theory
Relational and Systems Theory
Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Neurobiology
Somatic approaches
Ecopsychology: Nature-based interventions and the benefits of movement in nature
Creative interventions: Art and play as therapy
I recognize the systemic barriers and challenges that make life more difficult. Having the courage to open up to someone in this capacity is brave. I value your trust, and I am grateful to learn alongside you.
